JAHAMA Venison - Continued Growth for 2025
2025 was another successful year for JAHAMA Venison! The beginning of the year brought new local and Scottish products to the shop such as Angus & Oink meat rubs, Blackthorn Salt, Great Glen Charcuterie and handmade wooden crafts made by talented locals. These items have now become staples in the shop. The team are excited to see what else might make its way onto the shelves in 2026 to continue the promotion and support of shopping small and shopping local, a strong ethos of JAHAMA Highland Estates.
A local customer loyalty scheme was launched in February 2025 and continues to offer locals exclusive offers on venison and lamb products. Various offers and packages have been trialled throughout the year and Emma, our venison lady, has been collecting feedback from customers to establish their favourite products and cuts. Throughout the year the butchery team trialled a few new products such as the seasonal sausages, cranberry and apple, flavoured burgers such as caramelised onion as well as Texan BBQ and a sweet chilli mince option, all of which have been a huge hit with the customers. This feedback has been imperative to the success of the new products and allowed the team to curate packages and offers that has increased the number of return customers and brought new customers through the door of the “wee green hut”.

JAHAMA Lamb made a comeback in early Autumn with some new burger flavours and a smaller product list than previous. Launching the lamb in 2024 was an incredible addition to the offerings and having a full list of cuts and products allowed the team to establish exactly what products customers wanted to see and remain on the product list for 2025. Diced lamb, Lamb Chops and Rolled Shoulders are just some of the customers favourites. The team’s favourite lamb recipes can be found in the new addition of JAHAMA’s Recipe Booklet!
As the customer loyalty scheme signups grew, the team launched JAHAMAs first ever newsletter. The newsletter is now sent out monthly to all loyal customers and provides a short update on JAHAMA Venison as well as the exclusive offers for the month ahead! The plan for 2026 is to grow the amount of loyal customers and make the newsletters more regular with a wider range of updates from across the Estates.
Marketing was a top priority in 2025 and with that focus; there was a significant increase of interactions on social media channels, marketing materials were redesigned and improved and new signage was purchased for both shops. Through social media, word of mouth, the new loyalty scheme, newsletter and blog posts via the website, JAHAMA’s name is becoming wider known among locals, local businesses and further afield.
Looking ahead to 2026, JAHAMA Venison are committed to sharing knowledge and informative information on the sustainability of culling deer, and why you should be adding venison to your weekly shopping list. JAHAMA Venison is locally sourced, sustainable and ethical, and an excellent source of protein with low food miles guaranteed!
The JAHAMA Venison team would like to thank everyone for their support and purchases in 2025 and they look forward to a successful year of growth in 2026!
