Ground-breaking Natural Capital Report published

JAHAMA Highland Estates

JAHAMA Highland Estates

We are excited to announce the publication of the first paper in our ground-breaking natural capital report, which you can read under the ‘About Us’ menu.

Our natural capital report is an ongoing process to investigate and quantify the many different types of natural capital present on the Estate. This information helps us to make better-informed management decisions, and we are delighted to be at the leading edge of natural capital work in UK land management. In the first phase of the reporting process, we have focused on carbon, hydrology and human recreation. Our carbon paper is now available to read, along with an accompanying video designed to make this complex subject more accessible. The second two papers will be published shortly.

We have now moved on to the next stage of our work, looking at biodiversity and the carbon footprint of the Estate. If you have any questions, please email highland@jahamaestates.com.

To read more about our natural capital approach, read our article below from Scottish Land and Estates’ LandBusiness Magazine, published in spring 2021.
