Chloe Malcolm, aged 25, tends to a new lamb as she has been appointed as manager of one of Scotlands biggest upland farming operations. She will oversee 12,000 acres of hill farm and 600 sheep in Glenshero and Inverlair for Jahama Highland Estates, part of the GFG Alliance industrial group. Her appointment represents a departure from the usual demographic for a farm manager. Only 16% of farm managers in Scotland are female, and only 4% are younger than 35.
